Fuel Injection Line and Distribution Valve Flow Test

(aka "Bottle Test")

  1. Disconnect each fuel line from the top of each fuel injector
  2. Gently route the outlet of each injector line into a clear (soda or water) bottle
  3. With the throttle and mixture full forward, run the electric boost pump until the bottles are at least halfway filled with fuel
  4. Compare the levels of fuel in each bottle, either visually or by weight. The quantities should be similar. If any cylinder is vastly different than the others, that may explain why that cylinder is much leaner or richer than the others despite tuning the nozzles.
