Hartzell Trailblazer composite prop now available for your Cardinal

Hartzell Propeller's composite 78" diameter Trailblazer prop has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Cessna Cardinals. The approval covers retractable gear normally aspirated and turbonormalized C-177RG Cardinals with IO-360s and IO-390s engines.

This Next Generation Advanced Structural Composite Swept-tip, Scimitar Propeller Blade is approved for Cessna Cardinal RGs with normally aspirated or turbonormalized engines to include the IO-360A1B6D, IO-360A1B6 and IO-390A1A6.

Our testing found the 78" diameter Trailblazer two-blade prop to have excellent performance. Its light weight and the composite materials result in very smooth operation. It is about seven pounds lighter than most aluminum two-blade props and up to 25 pounds lighter than some three-blade props approved for Cardinals. It's great in combination with the Cardinal Cruiser turbonormalizing system.

Rugged, Durable and Dependable

Hartzell's proven structural composite design ensures the Trailblazer propeller will withstand the demanding operating conditions of back country flying. The Trailblazer features:
